Even it is full of bugs, the app is still useful as it is, and it does a lot right. However, considering, I signed with a 50% off link, and have been charged the full 139$ price 3 days later, and without receiving a single answer after multiple attempts to contact the support, I'm really sorry to cannot give the full 5 stars. Currently, the app doesn't quite live up to its price tag. (But certainly has potential.) Edit: Looks like, I've received a refund few days after all. Changing to 5 stars.
I think the app concept is spot on. The business model is perfect. However, the implementation is buggy and the availability of the servers is very low. It almost never works when I really want it to. I have paid 80 Euros and it's quite unusable. Concrete examples: it gets shut down in battery saving mode (audible doesn't) and 50 percent of the time it loads indefinitely and never ends up reading. Sometimes, it starts reading in two different places of the same document at once. And more.
It's not bad. I had some issue with the app switching voices on its own, not just to other English voices but to completely different languages. Unfortunately, it looks like since the update (and a delete and redownload on my part) many of the voices listed as English that are not English, and will read in Chinese, Spanish, etc. Other than that, it's does read out PDFs, and does a fair job at it. Not bad for an app you can use free. Just some really bad usability issues that should be remedied.
